Would you rather - By Peter

I would rather have wings to fly so I can explore the whole world and find new animal species and to overcome heights.Having wings can make you do amazing things that humankind have never seen before in their lives, flying so high up in the sky or speeding down from the sky like a falcon. With wings you can get the greatest view of the sunset where is so peaceful.

Would you rather - By Peter

I would rather jump on a cloud for the greatest view of nature to see my homeland and feel the wind of nature flowing past me as I watch the sunset so peacefully.

Would you rather - By Peter

I would rather be a superhero to bring peace and justice and to help those people that are going through lots of pain in their life journey.Becoming a superhero has special ability like flying to get the greatest view of the sunset, regenerate your body when you get hurt.

Would you rather be a wizard or superhero!

The Life Cycle Of A Maggot - Peter

I read a story about a girl who fell from an airplane as it disintegrated falling straight down into the rain forest of Peru. She had a wound on her arm with maggots inside of it. The Maggots were helping her wound by eating the dead skin this allowed her wound to heal faster.

My sign

Today in reading I made a sign about human's working altogether to save our world from Covid -19, pollution and guns to work together. To get rid of guns to stop killing each other and from pollution to keep our earth green and blue. And get vaccinated against Covid-19.

Sailing

On May the 10th Room 8 and Room 7 yrs 7 went to go sailing. It was so awesome and the best experience. We were taught how to sail a boat. I kept on bombing the water.
My teammate Paul was the best at controlling the sails and pulling the sheets to make our boat go faster. Our life jacket was so tight and annoying but it was to keep us warm and safe.
Thanks St Johns Rotary and sailing NZ for a great day.

Diary Entry

Dear Diary,

You won't believe what happened to me yesterday. A mum and her daughter came to the orphanage were I live. When the mum heard about my life she decided to adopt me. Suddenly my life feels like it's about to  burst with glowing light and joy. Wow, I finally feel a ray of hope expanding my life. I can see kid's playing when I walked down the stairs and the new faces of my family. I can hear the words of welcome flowing through the air, as I enter my new home birds started to sing. My smile starts to grow bigger.

Clay Values

Today we discussed about our values. We had to dig deep and think hard about what really counts. I chose the value family because some family are so fun and interesting. We created our value in clay so we could think about our values more and what in meant to us personally.

Praying in color

This term in R.E we are learning about different ways to pray. Today we did a prayer in color  praying for all those who need us at this time.

Diary Entry

This is a diary entry I have written in response to a short animated movie we are studying for literature

Dear Diary,

My life has been the worst after my parents died. It came, a darkness in me and around me I can still feel a little bit of light. I lost hope.  As my uncles car pulls up at the orphanage it looks like a big school, cold and scary. My parents voices are in my head telling me they love me as the wind swirls outside and the rain splashes on the car window. Depression is taking my hope.

Stations of the cross - (By Peter)

On Holy Thursday St Patrick’s school did a role play of the Stations of the Cross. It was the 1st of April. I was acting as a soldier of the Roman Empire. The year 8 and 7 students were the kids that were acting. We had to make our actions realistic and interesting. This reminded us how Lord Jesus Christ died,  he died to forgive all our sins.

Monsters The Oni

Japan has stories about giants called Oni. These monsters have horns on their heads and very sharp claws,an d they carry heavy clubs called Kanabo. To make sure  these monster stay away people throw roasted soybeans out of their houses and shout “Oni wa soto” “Oni,go out!” They do this during the Spring Festival to bring good luck for the following year.Sometimes Japanese children play a game where one person pretends to be an Oni and chases the others.

As large cities go Moscow is pretty safe. I would stay near the main tourist areas as most often there will be militia police men posted there. Most all areas of Moscow are safe to be in, but do carry your purse in front of you at all times. The city is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and is well known for its display of Russian architecture, particularly its historic Red Square, and buildings such as the Saint Basil's Cathedral and the Moscow Kremlin, of which the latter serves as the seat of power of the Government of Russia.Moscow is certainly one of the world's great cities from a historical standpoint, but for tourists it's still largely undiscovered.Another difficulty the city has is that Moscow is very expensive, even by most European standards. Hotels in the lower categories can be affordable, but standards tend to be equally low.Jeans, and denim in general, are very popular in Russia while the girls pictured with me are teenagers, they're wearing very typical outfits seen across the country. Throw on a pair of jeans with a t-shirt and you'll be good to go.

In 1920, after the Russian SFSR became a part of the Soviet Union, Kazan became the capital of the Tatar ASSR. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Kazan stayed as the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. Kazan is renowned for its vibrant mix of Tatar and Russian cultures. The city is situated about 60 km north of the confluence of the Volga and the Kama River. From Kazan it is a one-and-a-half-hour flight 720 km or 450 mi  west to Moscow. Kazan is the capital and largest city of Tatarstan, the semi autonomous republic in European Russia.Kazan is easy to reach by train, as it is a major station stop for several west east trains. Depending on the train, travel from Moscow Kazan Station can be as short as 11 hours. A direct train from St. Petersburg's Moscow Station takes 25 hours.
